27 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) In 2022, Thaksin University played a significant role in encouraging the youth to use renewable energy through National Competion of Electricity Energy from Wastes. Thaksin University gave services the community on kinetic energy and clean energy by organizing Electrical Innovation Competition, at which there were a lot of competitors from a lot of educational institutions. Thaksin University collected and summarized the data for attending UI Greenmetric World University Rankings 2022 to be ranked among Green Universities, environmental friendliness focusing on renewable energy and clean energy. Moreover, Thaksin University won an Energy- Saving Building Award from the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy. One of the significant operational steps is the renovation plan to appropriately meet the standardized criteria for energy-saving building construction. Thaksin University built all buildings on criterion standard. There were also energy-saved buildings that got an award to guarantee, the Energy Conservation Award given by the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency. Thaksin University has installed rooftop solar for 1,973 kWh in both Phatthalung and Songkhla campuses to produce clean energy from sunlight on the building roof for use on the campuses, develop the university into a green university, AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY 7
