40 Thaksin University The Faculty of Agricultural and Biological Industry, in collaboration with the Three-Water Fish Research Team, organized an event titled “Constructing Fish Shelters to Safeguard and Preserve Three-Water Fish” at the Coastal Conservation Group and Ban Mai Community Sea Farm in Village No. 1, S Thing Mo Subdistrict, Singhanakhon District, Songkhla Province. This initiative was carried out in partnership with the Creation Network and aimed to establish living fish habitats, expanding the nursery area for young aquatic animals. Fish Habitat No. 9 received support and collaboration from Thaksin University’s research teams at both the Songkhla and Phatthalung campuses. This project also received the endorsement of officials from the Center for Prevention and Suppression of Sea Fishing in Songkhla, Songkhla Dam Head Fishing Club (Songkhla Provincial Conservation Fishing Promotion Association), which supported the release of crab species as part of the activities. These endeavors are part of innovative spatial management strategies designed to enhance production efficiency and elevate fish products within the Songkhla Lake basin. The overarching goal is to manage and conserve three-water fish effectively, thereby bolstering the community’s economy through social innovation and legal processes, with active participation from the Songkhla Lake Basin communities.
