32 Thaksin University Thaksin University enhances its collaboration with the National Institute for Fusion Science and SOKENDAI in Japan to advance research and personnel development in plasma and fusion December 19, 2023, Associate Professor Dr. Samak Kaewsuksaeng, Vice President for Research and Innovation, and Assistant Professor Dr. Phonkrid Klaivitpat, Assistant to the President for Academic Services and Special Affairs, visited the National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS) in Toki, Japan. They were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Zensho Yoshida, Vice President of NIFS, and Prof. Dr. Satora Sakakibara and Prof. Dr. Mitsutaka Isobe from The Graduate University for Advanced Studies, SOKENDAI, which specializes in physical sciences, natural sciences, and innovation sciences. The visit aimed to discuss academic collaborations at both faculty and university levels, focusing on the exchange of personnel and students, research collaboration, and short-term activities to impart knowledge on Plasma and Fusion research. This field encompasses versatile technologies and is a critical technology that will be a source of clean energy in the future.
