36 Thaksin University Thaksin University has a system and mechanism in place to promote the university’s research work towards intellectual property management. The university organizes activities and develops researchers’ awareness and understanding of protecting intellectual property rights arising from research. Researchers submit their research for protection, as evidenced by the number of protection applications submitted. Additionally, there has been an increasing number of registered works. For the academic years 2021-2023, a total of 121 intellectual property registrations have been filed where the institution holds exclusive or joint rights (including invention patents, petty patents, product design patents, copyrights, trademarks, and new plant varieties) DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH Thaksin University Research and Innovation Revolving Fund Project The university has established a system and mechanism for product development under the ‘Thaksin University Research and Innovation Revolving Fund Project’ as a mechanism and platform to drive the commercialization of intellectual property. Products developed under this project are marketed through the Research and Innovation Revolving Fund Project, resulting in prototype product development based on research and innovation knowledge and intellectual property. Currently, there are six groups of prototype products, as detailed in Figure 1. Thaksin University also promotes the dissemination of knowledge and innovation from its intellectual property registered research projects to the public, especially those that lead to social development or economic value.
