37 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Promoting of Intellectual Property TSU Research-based Technology and Startups and Local Enterprises Continuous efforts to promote licensing of intellectual property, innovation, and research knowledge from Thaksin University through various channels, including the revolving fund project, exhibitions in various forums, online platforms such as Tech2biz and IP Mart, as well as community and enterprises involved in innovation development or discussions with local provincial sectors. These efforts have led to licensing or technology transfer (licensing) of research The university has generated income for startups and local enterprises from innovations registered as intellectual property and further developed into commercial products. Approximately 750,000 baht per year has been invested in startups utilizing Thaksin University’s research-based technology . This includes companies such as PalmPackaging Co., Ltd., Supakorn Control Partnership, and KKNB Partnership, contributing to economic development driven by innovations derived from Thaksin University’s technology and research. In addition, local enterprises such as Lenoicraft Community Enterprise have been supported to improve using research-based innovation, such as antifungal zinc oxide- chitosan composite technology for woven products. New weaving methods and eco- friendly processes, including herbal dyes, have increased member incomes from 250- 300 baht per day to 300-350 baht per day. outputs, knowledge, and innovations, with additional works still in progress. Another example is the Srinaka Model, producing batik with natural dyes and areca nut husk stamps for textile printing. This innovation, registered as intellectual property, has enhanced the value of community products. Thaksin University promotes knowledge and innovation into prototype products under the Reinventing University budget to transform the university through projects aimed at building and connecting strong networks for the creation of international -level innovation businesses.
