48 Thaksin University Living in crowded urban areas, having clean air to breathe is a wonderful thing. Green spaces that produce oxygen are gradually decreasing. Therefore, the university has taken on the role of increasing green spaces to provide fresh air, allowing students, staff, and the public to breathe deeply with pure air. Thaksin University recognizes the importance of this issue. When mentioning ‘The University in the Park,’ one envisions green spaces filled with trees of various sizes, interspersed with gardens for relaxation, the sound of water flowing over rocks, and the chirping of birds and forest insects in a serene atmosphere. Thaksin University, Songkhla Campus, located on 142 rai at the base of Elephant Mountain, is also a learning hub within this picture and has long served as the ‘lungs’ for the people of Songkhla.
