SDGs REPORT 20232-2024

49 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Thaksin University, Songkhla Campus, serves as a source of oxygen, absorbing pollution, dust, smoke, and noise for the growing city of Songkhla. It is a space that brings pleasure, providing a calming and comforting view, which is very important for both the physical and mental well-being of the community. Numerous studies indicate that almost all types of green spaces have positive effects on mental health, both in the short and long term, reducing stress and enhancing quality of life. The highlight of the garden at Thaksin University lies in its design. Our concept is to create an atmosphere that harmonizes trees with the university’s buildings. Trees and grass are allowed to grow naturally, aligning with the ‘University in the Park’ policy. The garden area is surrounded by the shade of large trees, with clear water cascading down small waterfalls over rock layers.
