SDGs REPORT 20232-2024

53 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Kryptopterus Vitreolus Thaksin University developed methods and technology for the cultivation of Kryptopterus vitreolus in hatcheries to conserves the species and maintains the balance of aquatic ecosystems. The research also includes analyzing the natural feeding behavior of Kryptopterus vitreolus to develop an appropriate formulated feed that promotes healthy growth in hatcheries. The results of this research will create a positive impact on marine resource conservation by reducing the capture of Kryptopterus vitreolus from the wild, helping to restore natural fish populations to sustainable levels. The activity of releasing Kryptopterus vitreolus back to its habitat was held on the 55 th anniversary of the founding of Thaksin University. This activity aimed to promote the breeding and increase the population of Kryptopterus vitreolus in natural water sources, in collaboration with Khok Muang Subdistrict Municipality. This project was conducted under the Plant Genetic Conservation Project initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
