62 Thaksin University Thaksin University has elevated its collaboration with the National Institute for Fusion Science and SOKENDAI in Japan to advance research and personnel development in plasma and fusion fields. On December 19, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Samak Kaewsuksaeng, Vice President for Research and Innovation, and Assistant Professor Dr. Phonlakrit Klaywitpatra, Assistant to the President for Academic Services and Special Affairs, visited the National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS) in Toki, Japan. They were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Zensho Yoshida, Vice President of NIFS, along with Prof. Dr. Satora Sakakibara and Prof. Dr. Mitsutaka Isobe from The Graduate University for Advanced Studies, SOKENDAI, a university focused on physical sciences, natural sciences, and innovation sciences. The visit aimed to discuss academic collaborations at both faculty and university levels, including personnel and student exchanges in research and short-term educational activities related to plasma and fusion research. This technology, which has diverse applications, is regarded as a crucial foundation for the development of clean energy in the future.
