7 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Thaksin University, through its administration, faculty members, staff, officials, special staff, and employees, is a leading academic institution that creates knowledge and wisdom to develop human resources for driving national development. The university conducts research to develop technology and innovation that address local development needs and enhance the country’s competitiveness. It provides academic services and transfers knowledge, technology, and innovation for regional development, as well as developing social innovations based on arts, culture, or local wisdom to preserve cultural heritage and improve the quality of life in communities. In alignment with its mission, Thaksin University is committed to supporting operations that are consistent with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The university integrates educationmanagement, research, academic services, and cultural preservation to drive progress towards achieving these goals, with a focus on contributing to the sustainability of communities and the world. To achieve these objectives, Thaksin University has divided the SDGs into five interconnected dimensions: 1. People Dimension This includes SDGs 1 (No Poverty), 2 (Zero Hunger), 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 4 (Quality Education), and 5 (Gender Equality).
